Sitakunda tourist attractions
Sitakunda has long been one of Bangladesh's most popular tourist
destinations, thanks to its natural beauty. Sitakunda is an upazila in the
Chattogram district that hosts the country's first eco-park. The name of the
place — Sitakunda — is quite unique, and there are numerous theories
surrounding its origin, but that's another story!
For the time being, let's look at the top five sites to visit
in Sitakunda.
1. Chandranath Hill and Temple
Arguably the most popular place in Sitakunda and had to be number one on the list, Chandranath Hill is well known for its verdant and scenic view. More than a thousand feet in height, the top of the hill takes about an hour and a half to reach and once you get there, you will find the temple. With the enchanting view of the sea on one side and the hills on the other, this is a view to savor as one of the most cherished memories. There are two ways to climb the hill and you should choose carefully and prepare before you start trekking.

2.Eco-park
The park is also home to a variety of wild species, including
monkeys, rabbits, and chimps, which adds to the natural features.
The park has waterfalls such as 'Sohosrodhara' and
'Shuptodhara', which are especially beautiful during the rainy season.
The eco-park is not distant from Sitakund Hills. So we grabbed a vehicle and arrived within 30 minutes. After arriving, we purchased six tickets to enter the park. The admission costs thirty takas for each person. It was 12:30 p.m. when we approached the park. After entering the park, we observed a variety of.
Khoiyachora Waterfalls
3.Guliakhali Sea Beach:
It is also known as Muradpur Beach and is one of Bangladesh's most
popular seaside destinations. Muradpur Beach, located only 5 kilometers beyond
Sitakunda Bazar, will leave you with inexplicable feelings. With the sea on one
side, the Keora Forest on the other, and the grass stretched out like a canvas
beneath your feet, this location provides views that we see in paintings.
The Keora trees' breathing roots can be seen at times, providing a unique
flavor to this already stunning scene.
The name of this location is fairly accurate.
The effects of this place can only be described as 'Moha' (awesome) and 'Maya'
(enthralling). Mohamaya Lake is Bangladesh's second largest manmade lake, with
an area of 11 square kilometers. Hills, rubber dams, fountains, and
crystal-clear water combine to create a mixture of sheer delight, and you can
even camp and kayak here.
5. Komoldoho Trail
This trek has at least five additional waterfalls in addition
to the Komoldoho Waterfall, which is the trail's hero. Because to its nature,
the Komoldoho Waterfall should only be seen after the rainy season has passed.
Despite being one of the most difficult and dangerous hikes in Sitakunda, this
location compensates for it with the cathartic sensation you get after
finishing the trail.
*How to go there*
The most convenient way to go to Sitakunda is by bus.
There are numerous buses departing from Dhaka to Chittagong every few minutes.
Choose any mode of transportation that suits you and board a bus bound for
Chittagong from Dhaka. Simple as that.
